Our Partners, Clover Taverns, who run 10 leased pubs across the country have taken a unique approach to boosting trade during the World Cup by changing their names to Wayne Rooney or Fabio Capello!
All members of the 140 strong team have changed their names by deed poll for the duration of the World Cup. As a multiple operator there are over 140 employees across Clover Taverns’ sites, now made up of 11 Fabio Capellos, 130 Wayne Rooney’s and one Sepp Blatter!
Partner, Russell who operates Long Barn in Slough said: “We thought it would be something different. All the deed poll certificates are displayed behind the bar and the team also sport masks of their name sakes! The press interest it has attracted has been huge! We appeared on James Cordon’s World Cup show last Friday night!”
